Determination of Fusarium spp. as causal agents of stalk and ear rot diseases, their mycotoxins and sources of resistance against mainly species in South Marmara region maize areas
In this study, Fusarium spp. on maize as causal agents of stalk and ear rot diseases and their mycotoxins formed on corn were determinated in South Marmara maize areas where is one of the important maize growing area in Turkey. In addition determination of source of resistance was studied for solution of problems.

Determination of the relationships among electrical conductivity, humidity and temperature values of some agricultural products during the process of drying
Knowledge of biological, chemical and physical characteristics of agricultural products takes and important role in cultivation, evaluation and marketing processes of those products. Up to dateness of organic agriculture and decrease in demand for unseasoned products raises the importance of dried products. Thus, knowledge of some physical features about drying processes of major products like [...]

Prevalence and incidence of Verticillium wilt and determination of its pathotypes in South Marmara region olive areas
A survey was conducted in order to determine the Verticillium wilt incidence in olive orchards in the Southern Marmara Region. The prevalence of disease in Balıkesir, Bursa, Canakkale and Yalova Provinces is 84,26%. The symptoms were determined in 358 of the 57166 olive trees in 108 orchards. Disease incidence in the region is 0.63% and [...]

The effects of different nitrogen doses and plant density on bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars agronomic and quality parameters and relationship between paramaters
This study was conducted in the experimental field of Adnan Menderes Agricultural Research Institute at a randomized split split blocks design in two years (2003-2004 and 2004-2005 growing seasons). The objective of this study was to determine the effects of increasing nitrogen doses (0–80–160–240 kg ha-1) and different plant density (300–500–700 plant m-2) on some [...]

Determination of available lysine and lactulose values in infant formulas
In this study, available lysine contents were determined in fourteen commercial adapted infant formulas using OPA method and spectrophotometric assay. The mean available lysine content of the formulas were found between 47,85±2,07 and 121,01±3,72 mg/g protein.Lactulose contents in commercial infant formulas were determined in gas chromatography after carbonhydrates were converted to trimethyl sylated derivates. The [...]

Research on occurence of fumonisin in dried fig fruits of sarilop fig (Ficus carica L.) variety
Fusarium is the agent causing endosepsis (internal rot) in fig fruits and is widely spread in fig orchards in the Aegean Region. The research aimed at determining fumonisin, one of Fusarium toxins occurence in Sarılop (syn. Calimyrna) fruits of two different quality classes, cull (H) and Class A (A) collected from the Big and Small [...]

Assessment of chemical compositions of the commercial organic fertilizers and soil conditioners region olive areas
It is very well known that the physical, chemical and biological properties of soil enhance by organic fertilizer applications. Plant nutrients, their availabities in the soil and water holding capacities increase. In organic agriculture the increase of the soil organic matter is fulfilled by special certificated preparates such as composted farmyard manure, composted liquid farmyard [...]

Investigation of efficiency of bacterial antagonists on biological control of bacterial cancer of tomato (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis
Bacterial canker, caused by the bacterium Clavibacter micihganensis subsp.michiganensis (Cmm), is a very destructive disease of greenhouse as well as field tomatoes. The bacterium is a seed and soil-borne pathogen, and to control of this disease is difficult, various measures have been suggested to manage it. Biological control of seed and soil-borne may be alternative [...]
