A research on the job satisfaction levels of the trainers working at the infrastuctures of professional football clubs in turkey
The aim of this research is to ascertain the job satisfaction levels of the trainers working at the infrastructures of professional football clubs in Turkey and analyze the differences in terms of individual and organizational aspects. The sample of the research has comprised 390 infrastructure trainers in the Professional Football Leagues in Turkey in the season of 2006 and 2007
In this study, data has been collected by means of a questionnaire consisting of two parts. In the first part of the questionnaire, a general information form consisting of 17 questions has been used. In the second part, “Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale” has been used The scale’s cronbach alfa has been found 0.89 in the reliability study. In the analysis of the data, frequency, the percentage, the unrelated ‘t’ test and the analyze of ‘single variance’ has been used. 0,05 importance has been taken into consideration.
As a results: It has been determined that job satisfaction of the trainers is at a good level in general. There hasn’t been any meaningful difference in terms of the variables related to the category of the club they work at, the certificates they have, their marital status, age ect, but has been a meaningful difference among the levels of their job satisfaction in terms of the variables related to the budget that the management of the club prepares for the infrastructure, the adequacy of the establishment in the infrastructure, the practicing materials and their pursuing rate of the articles concerning their fields. It has been ascertained that there is an inadequacy of the changing rooms, inadequacy of material suppliers of the clubs and the trainer shelters in general and the lower the league category is, the less these establishments are found. Moreover, they cannot even be found in some of the clubs. It has been observed in the distribution according to the leagues the clubs attend that the lower the league category becomes, the less the teams attend the league categories in accordance with the age categories; determined that trainers consider management styles of the club managers and working conditions of the clubs sometimes satisfactory; seen that the trainers have found the fees they take from the clubs they work at inadequate.
