Analyse de l’interaction verbale dans une classe de fle en Turquie

This study investigates whether linguistic interaction really takes place in a
classroom where French is taught as a foreign language in Turkey. In this context,
the teachers’ ability to create an effective linguistic interaction in the process of
teaching French has been evaluated in light of Catherine Kerbrat-Orecchioni’s
linguistic interaction scale. Parallel to this, the corpus that was gained from the

recorded three lessons at the French Cultural Center was studied in line with the
scale of the analytical model of the study and the extent to which the teacher applied
a foreign language teaching method including linguistic interaction was researched.
The study reveals that the power balance established by the teacher activates both the
linguistic interaction process and the students’ role in the foreign language learning
process. The voice recording of the corpus has been given in transcript and MP3
format in the appendix part of this study
