Econo-politic of piracy in terms of intellectual property rights

As a result of technological developments, significant changes have been seen in many areas including intellectual rights. In this research, intellectual rights and ever increasing piracy issues have been examined.
This research consists of three main sections. In the first chapter, the concept of intellectual property rights has been reviewed in details. In the second chapter, ever increasing piracy issue has been investigated. Types, elements and reasons of piracy have been examined. Existing legal protection and possible actions to prevent piracy was also discussed. Finally, in the third chapter, detailed piracy statistics of Turkey and the world have been analyzed. Existing piracy prevention methods have been also discussed.
