Effect of blast furnace slag in cement ingredients on compressive strength

By admin

Portland cement is the constraction material which is widely used in constructions at the present day. The most significant property of the concrete is the compressive strength. Especially water touched sea structures and the structures which effected by ammonium nitrate solution are damaged. In this work, the effect of addition of blast furnace slag on the ammonium nitrate, on the sea water and standard cure ambience proportion by 0%, 10%, 15%, 20% of ordinary cement ingredients has been researched. By the experiment results, at the standard cure ambience blast furnace slag is decreasing its compressive strength early ages, at the sea water and ammonium nitrate solution ambience 10% used blast furnace slag is increasing its compressive strength, by 15% and 20% slagged samples are decreasing their compressive strength.
