Foreign direct investments effects on Turkey economic growth (2000-2007) analysis

Foreign direct investments which composing important part of transnational investments has reached to peak of the history. Turkey is getting a vital proportion from world foreign direct investment pastry and also foreign direct investment which comes to Turkey , is essential to finance current deficit and contibute to investment for promoting economic growth. Relationship between economic growth and foreign direct investments has been analysed according to host country and also foreign capital provide investments which promote economic growth and economic development through raising savings and investments for this countries. Furthermore foreign direct investments provide technological transfers and accelarete human capital accumulation. In the analsyis section econometric model is posed by means of using the least squares technique and is aimed to measure foreign direct investments contrubition to economic growth. According to results of regression. Although foreign direct investments which come to Turkey has positive effect on economic growth, its coefficient is not statistical meaningful. Foreign direct investment inflows to Turkey has raised from 2005. Expecially it has raised vital numbers in 2005 and 2006. In such a case Turkey has high economic growth numbers contrary to the low foreign direct investment before 2005, this stituation weaken correlation between foreign direct investment and economic growth.
