Research of aggressiveness perception of the sportive students participating in football events between schools on the basis of social – cognitive learning theory

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of social – cognitive learning on gaining aggressive behaviors in the competitions among schools by direct using data of perceptions of the players.

Population of this research consists of secondary education students challenging in junior first league football championship events in 2006 – 2007 education year in Ankara, and modeling also consists of total 421 students from twenty five teams, selected from forty four football team challenging in same league.

İn analys of data beside of defining statistic techniques, it was investigated if data is in compliance with normal allocation by Kolmogorov – Smirnov test. When it was seen that the articles in the scale were not in compliance with normal allocation, Mann – Whitney U test was used in comparison of two groups because the normality assumption was not provided, and if there were more test groups than two Kruskal - Wallis H test was used.

Most supported factor by participators for aggressive behaviors according to perceptions of the sportive student in this research is “viewer” with %78,6. And then, “Referees” (%75,8) and “Players of opposite team” (%75,8) comes. Another important finding is that the players playing for more time in school team are more likely to “behave aggressively as a tactic” than others do.

From the results of this research, it was understood that social – cognitive learning is a specific factor on gaining of aggressive behaviors of sportive students according to perceptions of them. It can not amazing that the young people subjected to this type of behaviors in their families, schools, streets and media organs are becoming more insensitive and tend to perform these behaviors.
