The EU membership duration’s effects to the competetion power of construction sector and a case study is based on the competetion power of construction companies

All economies have been in a integration process due to the Globalization. In
this process, countries have started to choose acting together incase of acting alone
because of the increasing competetion all over the world. So, the most biggest group
that Turkey want to take place within is Europa Union.
The process of membership of Turkey has affected the economy, people and
business world of Turkey and sure construction sector. Because, construction sector
includes employees, produce, service and technology so it is going to be affected.
The main subject of this dissertation is the effect of the process of Turkey’s
membership on construction sector. Besides this, the all process of constructing of
Burgaz-Karnobat Highway that was copmleted by Dou Group in Bulgaria that is a
member of EU was analized

In the first section of dissertation, aim, importance, content of dissertation
and all hapens during the studing are explained. At first, the economical situation of
the World and Turkey are explained, and then, a SWOT analyse is done to
understand the situation of Turkey’s building sector. In the second section, the
affects of being a member of EU on the construction sector’s competition power are
explanated. The direct directives and requriments of these directives of EU are
explained in this section.
In teh third section, at first, the interviews that were acted with the first ten
Turkish construciton companies that have been in the list of the biggest 225
construction companies of Engineering News Record 2006 list have taken place.
Their opinions are given. Then, the all process of constructing of Burgaz-Karnobat
Highway that was copmleted by Dou Group in Bulgaria was analized as a case. In
this section, the importance, aim, contents, boundries and conclusions of the case
study are explanated. In the conclusion part, all informations are interpreted by
considerind the case study.
