The similarities between the visuospatial perceptions of the professionals who work in plastic art, literature and math subject disciplines

This research investigates the relation between visuospatial perceptions -visual and spatial perceptions- of the people who work on different disciplines like Plastic Arts, Literature and Maths. The study was administered to 95 individuals, our sample, who work in the areas of Plastic Arts, Maths and Literature in Istanbul. Raven Standard Progressive Matrices Test, Benton Facial Recognition Test, Judgment of Line Orientation Test were used as measurement tools.
Results of this research are as follow:

Following the one-way analysis (ANOVA), that used for determining the difference in the groups in terms of the group variants of the total points of RSPM test, post hoc Scheffe test was used. The difference between the Plastic Arts group and the Maths group was resulted in favor of Maths group. The difference between the Literature group and Maths group was also resulted in favor of Maths group. The difference between the averages of the Literature and Plastic Arts groups cannot be regarded as statistically significant.
As a result of the one-way analysis (ANOVA), that was used in order to be able to specify whether there is a significant similarity among the group variants of the Facial Recognition Test points of the individuals in the sample group, the difference between the averages of the groups cannot be regarded as statistically significant.
